ABOUT THIS FERN: A compact evergreen perennial fern reaching 1.5–2 ft tall × 1.5–3 ft wide. Striking coppery-orange fronds mature to glossy deep green with warm red undertones, forming arching clumps of textured, leathery foliage. Thrives in USDA Zones 5–9 and non-toxic for pets. Also known as Japanese Shield Fern, Copper Shield Fern, and Japanese Wood Fern.
